El servicio profesional de carrera en la defensoría pública en México

El 18 de junio de 2016 se dio entrada al nuevo sistema penal acusatorio en México, con lo que se inició una profunda transformación institucional de las defensoríaspúblicas. El artículo se centra en presentar y examinar los resultados de un estudio de campo realizado durante 2016 con defensores públicos de trece entidades federativas de la República Mexicana, sobre el proceso de implementación del servicio profesional de carrera de las defensorías públicas, las condiciones laborales de los defensores públicos, así como las condiciones de independencia y calidad del servicio. Los resultados mostrados se agrupan en los siguientes apartados: perfil profesional; procesos de selección e ingreso; salario y prestaciones; promoción y estímulos; capacitación y sanciones.
